What does it cost?

One payment on itch.io, at the price above. New versions come from the itch app or your itch.io download page. There's no subscription, and you don't need an account to use the app.

Will it open my existing files?

Yes. It opens .psd, .ase and .aseprite files and can save layered copies in the same formats, as well as PNG, GIF and sprite sheets. Palettes load from GPL, HEX, PAL and TXT files, or from a Lospec link.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The only feature that needs a connection is pasting a Lospec link. Nothing else leaves your computer.

Can I extend it?

Yes. Extensions are written in JavaScript or TypeScript and can add commands, panels, palettes, themes and key sets. You can switch any extension off.

Is there an iPad version?

Yes, with Apple Pencil Pro support. It's a free download on the App Store with a 14-day trial and one in-app unlock at the same price as the desktop, sold separately. It needs iPadOS 26 and opens the same files.

It's out now on itch.io for Windows, macOS and Linux and on the App Store for iPad. Steam comes later.
